Fear of Failure

I have many fears within,
The frightening thoughts of roadblocks.

Procrastinations to my destinations,
Repercussions of debt by failure,
Increasing barriers come before my goals and dreams.

Making it hard to provide for my seeds,
And showing the path as growth overlooks me and mines.

A lot of times I darken my own shine,
From bad decisions, misconceptions,
And walking in the wrong direction,
Without thinking of unforeseen reflections
That I might have to come face to face with—
Of realizations.

Perception: Seeing Beyond Fear

Waking Up, Blurred and Alone When I first came to, after two weeks in a coma, my vision was blurred. I had no idea where I was or why. A swirl of confusion enveloped me — what had I been through? What was ahead? How would I adapt to the life unfolding before me? After a month in the hospital, I was transferred from Denver General — the place that saved me — to Spalding Rehab, where they treat brain injuries and other serious traumas.
